WHAT TO DO / WHERE TO GO IN SANTIAGO

I don’t know Santiago as much as I like, although I born here, but I know some places that I think that could be interesting for some people.
Santiago is, in general, a nice place to live, is not so big like others cities in the world, in winter is a polluted city, but in others seasons is a very nice place, is not a bored city, it have much life, in day or night, so is not common be bored in the city, always is something to do.

For a foreigner, the best places that they can visit are: San Cristobal`s hill, Santa Lucia`s hill, in general the center of the city like Plaza de Armas, The Cathedral, The Moneda`s Palace. Another place to visit could be the Metropolitan Cemetery.
The San Cristobal and Santa Lucia`s hills because are a magnificent places to know, for their history and because is necessary to know them if you want to say that you knew Santiago. To the Moneda`s Palace, because is the government palace, where the President`s works, if they do it… But is a nice place, it is an important part of our history and is important to know it.
I think that is an important think the food, the foreign must to eat Chilean typical food, empanadas, a typical barbecue, I don`t know an specific place to eat this things, because I have eaten this foods in a different places, but at least the barbecue are very tasty in a restaurant called Chilenaso.
I recommend visiting Santiago during September, because the clime is very warm, and there is happiness in the air.

Music

I`ve never been in a concert, I`d like to go to one. I almost went to a concert, when I was in the school, in seven grade, was an Arjona concert, but finally I didn`t go, was too expensive. This year I almost went again to an Arjona concert, but when, with my best friend we went to buy the ticket, only the expensive ones were left, and my friend and I didn`t love so much Arjona, so we didn`t buy the ticket.
I still want to go to a concert, the last that I wanted to go was The Killers concert, but, I didn`t have enough money, so I can`t go, is in November, but now only are there the expensive tickets…
I hope that someday System of a Down come back to Chile, before they broke up, because I`d love go to one of their concerts.
Music is a very important part of my life, I can`t go out without my mp3 player because I need to walk with sound, to distract me.
My favorite group at the moment is Sum 41, I know that is very old, but I can`t stop listening their music, I love too, right now, Cindy Lauper, and Bon Jovi. I think that is only a lapsus.

A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

I would like to visit Finland, because its landscapes are very similar to Chilean landscapes, especially with the south of Chile. I don`t know very much about Finland, only that this country has the best of quality of life, but the food is so expensive. Other reason for my wish to visit Finland is because in this country was born the metal rock, and the best exponents of this kind of music are Finish people, like Nightwish and Sonata Arctica. In a stage of my life I loved the metal music, now I don`t love it, I only like this music. But I still want to visit Finland.

If some day I could visit Finland, the first thing that I`d do, before star the travel, would be to learn more about this country, its traditions, its culture; to know something about Finland.
I`d like to travel around the country, and if I like it I`d stay there for a long time, but I couldn`t forget Chile, so I`d have to comeback, and die here.

I`d like to study in Finland, but I`ll have to learn Suomi, and I think that it`s very difficult to learn, but if I have the possibility I`d do it!

And, finally, I want to see an Aurora Borealis!!!!

FIRST TERM

The firts term of 2009 was a bad semester, not so bad, but not good. I had so many subjects each one was so demanding, I didn´t have time for my friends, for anything, all I could do was read such long and boring papers.

But although the first term it so much stressing, I learned so much, not in every subjects, but in each ones like American Prehistory I and Physical Anthropology I, in that I do learned and I liked to study. The mayor callenge that I have to confront was the subject of Norte Grande, because the final work was an investigation work, that have to be complete and be interesting, and I have to defend of the questions of the teacher and the classmates. I finaly pass the subject and I was happy.

With my friend Viki we went to the olive`s party, I don`t like olives, but I ate other things, like almonds and peanuts and I had a good time listening music and talking with others friends.
The happiest moment in the past term was when the vacations arrived, finally!

In general, was a boring semester, with much stress, and the vacations were so shorts, but seems that this semester will be more relax, I hope so.
